Lake Iliamna is situated in the Bristol Bay watershed, home to the largest sockeye and king salmon runs in the world. Iliamna is the largest freshwater lake in Alaska and one of the largest in North America, comparable with the Great Lakes.

Talarik Creek Lodge has all the transportation tools necessary to get you on the fish. Depending on species, season and drainage, as well as specific itineraries, boats, aircraft and 4-wheel drive vehicles are utilized to transport clients from the lodge to the fishing areas.
A well-appointed establishment, it is designed with your utmost comfort in mind, and will cater to your every need. The vista alone, from our wrap-around deck, makes your travel worthwhile. The lodge is a second generation family run operation by local Alaskans, who have years of experience in both the fishing and service industry. Erik has lived in Alaska for his entire adult life. The choice to be a guide and outfitter is a natural extension of who he is. Erik has over twenty years of guiding experience that includes the Iliamna region and areas across Alaska. He is also a pilot and member of numerous conservation groups. A degree in Natural Resources Conservation, knowledge of wildlife biology, and living year round in the Alaska bush give Erik the edge to provide his guests with a genuine Alaskan Experience.
Martha is a lifelong Alaskan, born and raised in Iliamna. Martha is a second generation sport fishing operator, having worked in her mother and father's fishing lodge her entire life. Her knowledge of the area, the lake, and all its tributaries is invaluable. Martha is always present, facilitating any detail, cooking delicious meals, and attending to any and all needs of her guests. Outside of her day-to-day work in operating the lodge, Martha is a full-time mother, and in charge of keeping Erik, and all the other guides in line.
