SURF FISHING: CASTING FISHING LINES FROM THE SHORE ON A BEACH WITHOUT A BOAT! This charter targets Pompano and multiple large species of shark ranging 5ft up to over 12ft plus that are consistently cruising our coast looking for their next fishy meal. I paddle out a large bait, 100+ yards off the beach, and when one of these large sharks grabs that bait, you are in for the longest, biggest “BATTLE OF YOUR LIFE” with one of these massive predators! I will outfit each person with a Pompano surf rod rod. Plus I will bait and set two 120 pound shark rods. SHARK ARE STRICTLY CATCH AND RELEASE! Some species CANNOT leave the water, protected by law.

He will share his knowledge of FISHING THE BEACH FROM SHORE, to show you how to read the surf, what species are running at a particular season and what those species are feeding on, and what tackle and equipment to use and where to use it. In the surf you fish the sloughs, sandbars and rips. Targeting mainly the tasty, white and flaky, highest targeted and priced game fish in FL at almost $10lb, the FL Pompano. Along with other tasty smaller and larger species that congragate to feed on crustaceans and smaller bait fish that get stirred up in the turbulent wash. With the addition the same larger species usually sololey targeted on St. Augustines inshore/offshore boat charters! The biggest bull red-drum(redfish), black-drum, and on occasions, on calm days, huge tarpon, kingfish or a cobia using a drone! Ancient City Surf Fishing Charters and Outfitter offers: Surf Fishing Charters: Guided and he shares his knowledge of casting surf rods OFF THE BEACH into the surf. Let your guide know if you need a certain starting time, otherwise, he will choose the best time and location for fishing that day. Shark Fishing Charters: Guided and he shares his knowledge of getting big baits out past the breakers for one of Floridas largest predatory fish. The Shark! Ranging 5 foot to over 12 feet in length! Public parking with bathroom facilities nearby. Note: Transportation to/from the beach location is not provided by the guide/outfitter All Charters/Outfits: Upon arrival, each individual must provide the Guide with an FWC issued Florida Saltwater Shore fishing license and sign a waiver. It’s free for FL residents and costs $17 per individual nonresident.
