Skippers Derick and Faegon Martin are here to get you on some fish and to make sure you have a great time. You’ll be using techniques like bottom fishing, trolling, drift fishing, handline, jigging, popping, spearfishing, and spinning, according to what you’re going after. As part of their 4 to 8-hour trips, you can target species like Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Marlin, Leerfish, Shark, and Kob, depending on the current season and weather conditions. A trip out to sea from Struisbaai harbor takes you past the South African headland into the fertile waters where two of the world’s greatest oceans meet: The Atlantic and Indian Oceans. You’ll be fishing from a 28’ Butt Cat boat with enough room for up to 10 anglers at any single time. It also includes a toilet, ice box, and fighting chair. All the necessary fishing gear and fishing licenses are included in the price of your trip. A deckhand will be there to help you with everything you need, and tips are appreciated for a job well done. You will share the catch with the crew.
