Crescent Spur Heli-Fishing

from the time we arrived at the lodge to the time we packed up our gear to go home, we were constantly amazed by the hospitality - the lodge is far over the top for any fishing lodge, great food, too much fun at the bar. One day entailed helicopter to the creek, the creek gets blown out by a storm, helicopter to the lodge, jump in jet boats, fish a different creek, boat back to the lodge, pack lunch to fly up to a high alpine lake and float and fish all afternoon, back to the lodge for another fabulous dinner......do it all over the next day ... needed a bigger net for the large bull trout out of a tiny stream - and there were many of them ! the photo included is far from the largest but the only one that would fit in the net.

Travelled to Crescent Spur lodge in August 2022 to fish the Fraser & Goat rivers as well as other area streams. In addition, the trip included flying into pristine alpine lakes where, using belly boats, we caught rainbow trout. Our group landed multiple personal best Bull Trout on the rivers and everyone landed trout in the alpine lakes. Beside the fishing, the methods of accessing the fishery, either solely by helicopter or in conjunction with jet boats, made the trip an outdoor adventure in addition to a world-class fishing trip. Outside of the fishing, the lodge, food and staff were first rate — a truly great experience.

You feel like you’re fishing rivers and lakes that have never been fished before. Typically, we fished a shore fished a different river each morning and then an alpine lake in the afternoon . The helicopter made it incredibly easy and quick to switch spots and maximize your fishing time.
