Experience exceptional catch-and-release an¬gling for largemouth & smallmouth bass, lake trout, muskie, pike, and walleye in a pristine wilderness setting. Slippery Winds full-service, American Plan lodge is located in a sheltered bay on Yoke Lake, a short floatplane hop north of Fort Frances. With access to six lakes via boat or short portages, and a maximum capacity of 18 people, our guests are never crowded. In addition to the great fishing, Slippery Winds guests can enjoy the peace, tranquility, solitude and unique beauty of our area. Slippery Winds accommodates up to 18 guests in five fully-modem, private guest cabins, equipped with electric lights, Hudson Bay blankets, propane heat, fridges, and bathrooms with showers. The main lodge features a comfortable guest dining room where guests enjoy delicious, hearty home¬ cooked meals! The lounge, complete with a stone fireplace, offers a cozy, relaxed atmosphere for guests to gather for an after-dinner drink or just to share camaraderie and swap fish stories. Float plane service
Float plane transfers between Fort Frances, Ontario and the lodge.

Comfortable accommodations in private, fully-modern guest cabins. All cabins are equipped with electric lights, propane or electric baseboard heat, comfortable beds with Hudson Bay blankets, refrigerators and full 3-piece bathrooms with large shower stalls.
Comfortable 14’, 15’ or 16’ boats equipped with padded swivel seats, PFD’s, minnow buckets, fish cradles and powered by Yamaha 9.9, 15 or 25 hp outboards.
Daily supply of regular minnows.
Unlimited supply of boat gas.

Slippery Winds Wilderness Lodge, a jewel hidden in northwestern Ontario, less than 40 miles from the U.S. – Canada border. A short float-plane trip from Fort Frances, Ontario, takes you to the lodge. Slippery Winds is located on a peninsula between Yoke Lake and Straw Lake. This American-Plan lodge offers its guests the opportunity to angle for six species of sport fish, including smallmouth and largemouth bass, lake trout, muskie, northern pike and walleye on six separate lakes that are accessible via boat or short portage.
